History
Al & Lucy Gomez founded IC Assemblies in 1993 in their garage with the promise of maintaining local manufacturing in the US. Ultimately, with mounting pressure from Chinese competitors, threatening to capture entire turnkey business and decimate local manufacturing, they mounted an effort to save local manufacturing. In defense of local technical manufacturing, he opened up IC Assemblies in the Dominican Republic, allowing for a regional low-cost contract assembly capacity, while maintaining the technical manufacturing with domestic manufactures. Al & Lucy started with one account and a strong determination to succeed. 27 years later, IC Assemblies has grown to be a successful powerhouse in the contract manufacturing space with extensive manufacturing experience and hundreds of clients in all fields of products and services.
